Undergraduate Candidates
Completing Degree Requirements Summer 2012

• Summer graduation application forms are due as soon as possible in the Registrar's Graduation Office, 210 Enrollment Services Center.
• Summer graduation academic requirements must be completed by
  August 3, 2012.

Iowa State University does not hold a university commencement ceremony following the summer term. Students who plan to complete degree requirements during the summer term will have the option of attending either the spring or fall university commencement ceremony.

Information for Summer graduates participating in the Spring 2012 University Undergraduate ceremony

Names of students planning to complete degree requirements during summer term and approved to participate in the spring commencement ceremony, will be listed in the spring commencement program.

• Complete Summer graduation application form and submit by
  as soon as possible. Note: The Graduation term indicated on the application should be Summer 2012 and not Spring 2012.

Information for Summer graduates not participating in the Spring 2012 University Undergraduate ceremony

• Summer graduates who do not attend the spring ceremony will have the opportunity to indicate their attendance at the fall university commencement ceremony on AccessPlus beginning the first week in July.

Summer Semester

• Degree audits will be checked and you will be notified of your graduation status by June 30, 2012. Graduation mailings will be sent to your
  "in-session" address. To update your address, please go to AccessPlus at https://accessplus.iastate.edu/frontdoor/login.jsp
• The week of July 2nd, the Graduation Office will send an email message to your ISU account with instructions to provide your preferred diploma mailing address and Fall 2012 ceremony plans through Access Plus.
• Students not attending the Spring or Fall university commencement ceremony should pick up a diploma cover in the Graduation Office, 210 Enrollment Services Center. Covers will not be mailed unless arrangements are made for postage costs ($5.00) to be added to your university bill.
• Degrees will be verified and diplomas mailed the end of August. The official graduation date for summer term is August 4, 2012.
• The fall commencement program will include an official list of all summer graduates.
