Textbooks
Ames Area Students
Textbooks for students in the Ames area may be picked up at the Iowa State University Book Store and charged to the Office of the Registrar. Books must be returned by the end of the semester to 10 Enrollment Services Center. Books not returned by the Friday of finals week will be billed to the student at 75% of the original cost.
Non-Ames Area Students
Textbooks for students not in the Ames area who are taking off-campus courses under Postsecondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) will be distributed by Memorial Union Bookstore and charged to the Office of the Registrar. The PSEO contact person at each high school will be the recipient of the books and will be responsible for the timely return of all books at the conclusion of each semester. Books should be returned to: Shawna Saad, 10 Enrollment Services Center, ISU, Ames, IA 50011-2011--NOT to the University Book Store. Books not returned will be billed to the student’s account at 75% of the original cost.

Cancelling Registration
To cancel registration, the student must notify Shawna Saad in the Office of the Registrar, at 515-294-9179, 10 Enrollment Services Center, BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.
If notice is received prior to the first day of class, ISU will cancel the student’s enrollment and remove 100% of the student’s tuition assessment. In addition, the student’s Iowa State permanent record will show no evidence of activity for the term registration was canceled.

The process is the same for both postsecondary and non-postsecondary students. The schedule below applies to full-semester courses only. For part-semester courses, call Shawna Saad at 515-294-9179.

Withdrawals
The process is the same for both postsecondary and non-postsecondary students. The schedule below applies to full semester courses only—full semester defined as those that begin the official first day of the semester and end on the official last day of the semester.
