Student Requests

Students who need to provide enrollment information for insurance, employers, scholarships, or other reasons may make a request in either Myhub or through the Office of the Registrar directly. 

Students who need to provide enrollment information for loan deferment need to submit a request through the Office of the Registrar via Workday. 

Myhub Certificate (Recommended)

Myhub is recommended for students that simply need to show proof of enrollment at Iowa State University or obtain a certificate for good student discount purposes. Myhub is a self service system offered by National Student Clearinghouse and letters are generated instantly.

Verification Letter

If you need detailed information, including confidential information, about your current enrollment or need to provide personal information to an entity, request a Verification Letter from the Office of the Registrar with the form in Workday. Processing time is 3 to 5 business days for requests.

  • Detailed course and enrollment information (meeting times, academic standing, GPA, etc..)
  • Personal information (date of birth, SSN)
  • 3 to 5 business day processing time

Myhub is a free third party service offered by the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) that allows you to instantly generate certificates that verify enrollment or verify you meet criteria for a good student discount. Institutions that share student data with the National Student Clearinghouse are brought together for you via Myhub. As such, Myhub may contain information from other institutions. Iowa State University is only able to verify information from your attendance at Iowa State University. 

We can deliver Enrollment Verification letters in one of four ways. 

  • CyBox Delivery
    • We will send a PDF of your letter to your email address via a secure Cybox link. Check your spam folder in case it got filtered there.
  • Pickup in 010 Enrollment Services Center
    • We will send you an email letting you know when your letter is ready for pickup. Bring a photo ID with you to pickup your letter. Consult the email or our home page to check for office hours.
  • Mail to third-party
    • We will print and mail your letter to an indicated individual or organization. Allow an additional 5 business days for letters to be sent USPS, or 31 business days for international mail.
    • We cannot email verification letters
  • Fax Delivery
    • We will fax your letter/documentation to an indicated number.

This service is not available for student use.

The National Student Clearinghouse provides instant electronic verification of student degrees and student enrollment to employers, employment agencies, credit card companies, background search firms, travel companies, and various other businesses that offer products or services based on an individual's status as an enrolled student.

The National Student Clearinghouse provides enrollment and degree information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
