Cancellation and Leave of Absence
Determining the right process depends on the timing of your decision. Students dropping all of their registered courses prior to the first day of the term will need to initiate the Cancellation process. Students dropping all of their courses after the first day of the term will need to initiate the Student Leave of Absence process.

Students in high school taking college level courses are Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) students.

Consortium Holds
This is a type of hold placed when a student is taking courses at another institution while receiving financial aid at Iowa State. The hold ensures required documentation is submitted to maintain eligibility.
